Free Online Anger Management Classes
From LoveToKnow Stress
Free online anger management classes give participants the freedom to attend classes at a time that is convenient for them. They also give the student privacy; something they wouldn't normally have in a classroom full of strangers. For those who would like to keep their anger management counseling private, online classes offer a way to receive help from professionals.
Online vs. the Classroom Setting
Not everyone enjoys a classroom environment, especially if they worry about what others will say. While some may argue that a classroom situation is a better way to learn how to deal with aggression, some students may be intimidated in this setting. Participants may dislike the classroom environment because they don't want to share their stories with others; they may be afraid of being judged. Many anger management classes require participants to share the problems that may have gotten them into trouble with friends, family, co-workers, or the law. While an online course is usually administered for a fee, most in-person anger management classes mandated by the courts are offered for free, or for a small administration fee.
Online classes offer security to those that may be intimidated and privacy for those that don't wish to share their problems with the general public. An online setting may offer one-on-one counseling so the student is only sharing their personal information with a professional. If they have a particular problem that needs to be addressed, it can be dealt with quickly and confidentially, without having to wait for other people and their problems to be addressed. Many online anger management classes have a set fee ($99 and up) that includes the class and professional counseling.
Most online classes will satisfy the requirements set forth by the court systems and they will issue the same certificates of completion that an in-person anger management class offers. However, it is important to verify this information before signing up for any online class to ensure compliance with the law.
Free Online Anger Management Classes
There are a few online anger management classes available. However, they are not complete courses that are required by the courts. The information is free, but a fee is charged for any additional professional counseling provided on the website.
The following websites offer free online anger management classes:

Additional Anger Management Resources
There are many online resources available that deal with the topic of anger management. The majority of the resources are free and do not require any personal information to be divulged in order to receive the information. If you are looking for professional counseling online, certified anger management classes, or simply basic information on dealing with the anger you feel during stressful situations, consider the following anger management websites:
- Sixwise.com - This site offers a free anger management assessment test.
- Phobias-Help - Visit this site's forum for help in dealing with anger management.

Whether you have been court ordered to receive anger management counseling or you simply want to learn ways to control your anger in stressful situations, online anger management classes may help. While the format of the class may be slightly different than in person sessions, the content of the classes offered are the same. If you're hesitant to take an anger management class with a room full of strangers, consider an online class which offers flexibility and privacy.
